Absolutely excellent grilled pork necks and lemongrass crispy chicken steaks on Vietnamese vermicelli noodles! The salads and herbs on the side were very fresh and served in large portion. It’s my second time to visit this restaurant, I’ve been to its Central branch and tried their pho in soup. This time we gotta try the dry mix noodles since Mrs Golden-tongued and me are both a fan of 撈檬！I’m sure my pork jowl is more handsome than yours! I’m sure my pork jowl is more handsome than yours! They were perfect, seared to just right, thickly cut yet highly succulent, amazingly crispy outer, ramped up with the grill sauce and the vinegary garlicky noodle dressing.
Chicken steaks were equally incredible, very thin crispy skins and juicy flesh.
It’s tea time so we went overboard and added some snacks: Vietnamese spring rolls and lotus root shrimp patties. These are outstanding, they came with a bunch of greens and a sweet chilli dipping sauce. We really liked the shrimp patties wrapped in double slices of lotus roots.
Drinks were included when you ordered your choice of mains. Mrs had a glass of minty lime soda while I added extra to get a purple rice yogurt smoothie. This is so worthy because it’s a drinkable dessert, if you fancy purple rice like me, give it a shot!
