Read online that the chef of Spiga now has another restaurant at the Peak. Even tho I’m not a fan of Spiga, I thought the Peak was a good idea in this weather. The best thing about the whole meal was my date. And the glass of Pinot. Service was friendly enough. The uni spaghetti was a bitter disappointment- spaghetti was soft and soggy, uni didn’t taste fresh. No one thought to mention that they added spicy red bits in. The uni spaghetti was a bitter disappointment- spaghetti was soft and soggy, uni didn’t taste fresh. No one thought to mention that they added spicy red bits in. Main dish was the prawns which, again, did not taste fresh at all. Thought nothing could go wrong with the chips as side dish? We were wrong. The chips tasted, AGAIN, like they have been in the freezer for 2 decades. And the spicy red bits in them as well. Talk about discrimination against someone who can’t take spicy. 🥱 left without bothering to try their dessert.
