Off work late today, then decided to wander around this street with friends for a decent meal but sadly the crab store next store wasnt available and we were too tired to search for another store so we just stepped in Ocio, a restaurant which was famous for its desserts and waffle previously... but probably our notion and understanding were right. Come here for the desserts but not the main course nor the set meals.

My course costed $138 which included salad, soup and main dish and dessert and even a drink. Sound not so bad, huh? But the appetizer (salad) and soup just tasted cheap and were like from a chaa chaan teng then a decent western restaurant. But I guess this is what u paid for... After tasting the soup with heavy MSG and salad with the cheap thousand island dressing, I was hoping for the best for my main dish — salad.

It was way too dry to be served. The juice and tenderness of a salmon were all gone. They weirdly embedded two asparagus inside the potato mash. Odd.

The very same salad and my least favourite salad dressing was everywhere.

The ice cream served was filled with ice. It literally lived up to its name “ICE” cream.

They served it with the canned fruits as well. Odd.

What was more frustrating was the bill. My friends got the apple tea which was $39 and as heard from the apparently new waitress that all we need to do would be to add the difference of the cost of our originally included drink, which was $33, so my friends and I assumed that they had to pay $6. But at the end, the bill charged us $15 for that.
We were shocked and we asked them why and their only explanation was “Oops. Sorry. She is new to our restaurant.” and waited us to pay out bill. I mean, they would have chosen other drinks if they knew that they had to pay $15 anyways not the tasteless apple tea.

And is it fair for your customers to pay for the mistakes of your employee? I guess not.

Three set meals and they costed around 5xx. I bet we could have better options in Mongkok and at least more decent food and service elsewhere.

Lesson learnt - never coming back to this Odd-cio again.
