Simply Life gives people a feeling that they are serving light, healthy and delicious food. Food is definitely light because of the small portion. I like their soup as well as their salad. They taste good. The iced fruit tea that comes with is also refreshing. As for the tastiness of food, I would say it is ok in general Their selection has some health elements such as brown rice, and sometims some organic items. However, I think there is a problem with their service. First of all, there is a long wait line. Unlike other restaurants that give out tickets, you just have to line up and wait. Their lunch time is until 2:30pm and then it starts the afternoon tea time.
My husband and I waited for lunch for 40 minutes and was seated at 2:15pm and were starving. We could not order lunch because we were told that the kitchen had to stop serving lunch to prepare for afternoon tea menu items. However, we could not order afternoon tea menu either because it was not 2:30 yet. And the server was of the attitude that we have so many customers that you just have to follow what we say if you want to eat here.
I wonder whether it is poor management that allows this to happen or it is the arrogance of management that really does not care how their customers feel.
In the end, we waited and had afternoon tea set. I had a croissant with smoked salmon and cheese that came with fries. My husband had a beef burger with the patty only half the size of the bun and that came with fries. I would say the quality of the ingredients are average, not particularly healthy, and preparation was just OK. But the service was definitely poor.
Other Info. :
never get seated at two fifteen pm or you will have to sit for 15 minutes before you can order.
