When we found out that the old hogology in central had moved to CWB, we decided to eat it again for lunch since we were in the area! When we found out that the old hogology in central had moved to CWB, we decided to eat it again for lunch since we were in the area! The queue was relatively long for a 1pm Saturday, and we had to wait around 20 minutes for a table (they only let you in once everyone is present).
We decided to get one of their new dishes, a white pepper soup based noodle with pork chop, and ordered another favourite from last time:

1. White pepper soup noodle + fried pork chop $64
The white pepper soup was very mild, and definitely less spicy than expected. This would be great for those who want a little bit of kick of spice in their food without the flaming hotness of chili peppers. When paired with their freshly fried pork chop, the spice balanced the crunchiness of the pork very well. Overall, the noodles were okay, the soup was more on the mild side, but the large portion of fried pork really was the highlight! We love the freshly fried pork chop at hogology, which made the wait worth it.

2. Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice with Fried Pork Chop $60
We had also ordered this exact dish last time! It was really great that we decided to give it an encore. The portions are quite large, and if you eat minimally, we recommend you ask for less rice. The pork chop was again fried so freshly and the crispness was so satisfying to eat. The meat was not dry at all and was very juicy. The frying batter is not too thick, which would take away from the eating experience. The braised pork was a very good companion to the rice, without being overly oily or fatty. Would highly recommend this dish!

3. Fried Shrimp (Snack) $28
We wanted to try some other snacks since last time we just ordered some extra eggs. The batter on the shrimp was slightly thicker than on the pork, and the shrimp taste was slightly masked by the fry batter. However, this was also freshly fried, and the crunch paired with the dipping sauce was really good!

4. Ginger honey tea (+$6)
Slightly too sweet for our liking, but the drink definitely packed a punch of ginger spice! There were many spices of fresh ginger in the drink, which can warm up anyone on a cold winter day!

We highly recommend hogology for anyone who loves fried food, especially fried pork chop! This place provides good quality pork chop for a good price
