When XO and I went to Haven Street the last time, we saw that there's a new branch of Frites Belgium on Tap on the street! XO said that he's never been to Frites, so we decided to meet up last Tuesday. He was going to skip tango that night, so he could feast on mussels and beer with me! He decided to forego on a full dinner at Frites and just had a couple snacks while I feasted on yummy mussels!
I've been to the Wanchai and Quarry Bay branches of Frites, and this new branch has a similar decor! It had really high ceilings, and the benches and tables make the restaurant look like an upscale beer hall!
Frites is Belgium on tap, so of course, they had a few beers on tap!
On top of the beers on tap, they also had an extensive drinks menu, titled Beer Bible!
I knew from the past that Frites offers fruit beers that I like, so I looked for the page with the fruit beers! I saw that they had a strawberry beer and went for it!

Classic Caesar Salade: The romaine lettuce in the salad was very fresh and crunchy, and the salad had a good amount of dressing but wasn't over-dressed. Overall, a pretty good Caesar salad.
Next, I had what I came here for--the mussel pot!

The fries were light and crispy on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside! They were perfect with the mayonnaise or dipped in the creamy sauce from the mussel pot!

This new branch of Frites Belgium on Tap is even closer to where I live than the other branches, and the food quality is just as good as the other branches! So, now I can have mussel pots and other yummy Belgian dishes even more often at the convenient new location!
