Didn’t realise that there is a long escalator in Sai Ying Pun, just like the one in Central and found out that there are quite a few interesting restaurants around. We were having a walk around and walk past this Vietnamese restaurant and it seems interesting, so we decided to give it a go.

We were quite early so not too many people around (in fact we were the first one) so was happy with that. Seating arrangement was spacious and well covered for COVID precautions.

Since it was a bit cool, we ordered the Pho with Beef Balls and Vermicelli Cake with Grilled Chicken for our mains. We also ordered the Grilled Sea Salt prawn skewers and the soft shell crab with mango roll to share. For drinks, we had the Lime Lemon Iced Tea and the Lemongrass Tea. Quite a bit of selection actually.

The Pho was really nice and the beef balls were really tender with very tasty soup base. The vermicelli cake was an interesting dish where you wrap the vermicelli and the grilled chicken onto the vegetable (with some viet sauce) and have it all together. Very nice! The prawn skewers were nicely done with the prawns still tasting fresh and not too dry, and the soft shell crab roll was a nice match with the mangos. Not to forgot to mention, the lime lemon iced tea is a must try and the lemongrass tea can be up to your flavor choice.

Overall it was a really nice dinner with interesting dishes and comfortable seat surroundings, along a little lane just beside the escalator! Will definitely keep this restaurant in mind when we crave for a Vietnamese meal next time!
