Came here on a Friday evening with 3 other friends. Place was not exactly easy to find - it was situated on the level of the hotel lobby. We were given a table indoors although, on retrospect, alfresco dining might be a even better choice. Place was clean and decent, and service from the wait staff was prompt and helpful, just like what you would expect from a hotel restaurant. We tried lots of items, most of them were quite nice:半隻海南雞 + 油飯 - the chicken was quite tender and not too fatty, alt
半隻海南雞 + 油飯 - the chicken was quite tender and not too fatty, although the meat tasted a bit bland. The chicken oil rice was chewy and delicious. Overall this dish was more than acceptable.
油酥餅 - very nice, cripsy and not oily at all.
炒蘿蔔糕 - again a superb dish, very tasty and spicy, and cooked just right in a rich soy sauce. The best I have had so far locally. A must-try item !
喇沙 - again another nice dish, the soup base was spicy with a rich coconut flavor, we finished the dish with no difficulty at all.
牛腩通菜煲 - nice, with very tender beef briskets and a tasty broth. Very good for going with rice.
泰式篜鳥頭 - unfortunately, this was the worst dish of the night. The fish itself was pretty big in size and the accompanying sauce was quite spicy with a dash of lemon; however, the fish itself was overcooked The only real hiccup of the entire meal.
Price is quite reasonable given the nice food and decent setting. Overall, this is a place that we would probably come back again, to try their other goodies like satay and crab dishes
