I have to say, after growing up loving this restaurant, I was unimpressed by today's experience and was disgusted by the service. I have to say, after growing up loving this restaurant, I was unimpressed by today's experience and was disgusted by the service. Don't be fooled by the fact we didn't have to wait for a table - we (thankfully) booked in advance. By 1:30pm, it was a zoo, and I am sure if we hadn't booked, we would have had to look elsewhere to eat.

I am sure the staff at Nomad's are aware of just how popular the restaurant is and surely know how to handle a busy lunch service. After arriving with approximately an hour before the lunch special finished, I decided to take up two things to be cooked at once: a pizza and a bowl of noodles. I was informed by the chef that he could not process such a request (fine, I accept that, but was not given a valid reason for this) but was told he would cook one first and then the other and have it delivered to my table. I waited close to 30 minutes for one of these dishes to appear and when it did, I had to quickly scoff it down to go and make another bowl of noodles before they stopped the lunch service. Suffice to say, the first bowl of noodles I made never showed and despite asking a handful of different waitresses what the hold up was, I got no further. Some of their responses were just down right rude and dismissive and were totally disinterested in their work. Our water was barely refilled and we had to keep asking for top ups. Again, we were met with moody remarks and expressions. We were then shown the bill in order to hurry us along and to get us out of there asap.

This is not the first time I have left a Cafe Deco restaurant (the first incident involved a forged signature) with a metaphoric foul taste in my mouth and I am slowly losing my patience with what appears to be a consistent attitude of not giving two shits about their customers and who they hire.

The food was fine - no complaints from me about that. But to have to eat in a place that is utterly chaotic and disorganised as well as unfriendly is, in my book, unacceptable.
