Here for lunch on a Friday, and was seated quickly. Since it was my first time, I went for the classic Taishoken Tsukemen. Came out with piping hot soup and cold noodles, the way tsukemen should be eaten. Soup was thick and rich in bonito flavour. Noodles were also thick, and had a pleasant, bouncy texture.

Sadly, the gyoza missed the mark. Whilst they arrived quickly, and hot, the base was chewy and soft. The filling was decent, so the soft base really let down the whole dish. Later, peering over the counter top into the kitchen, I could see a big bucket of already cooked gyoza which they presumably fry to order. Not ideal.

Will return, but only for the noodles.
