Not a bad place for lunch!

It was a hot Sunday afternoon, around 1pm and we stopped by Tai Hang for lunch. We originally planned to check out some of the brunch places in the area but it was so packed! Long waits everywhere. So as we walked around, we stumbled upon this Japanese place and decided to stop here.  The udon came first and I thought it was really good! The clam tasted fresh and the noodles were nice. Then the Grilled Eel Rice and the Sashimi came. The sashimi quality pretty good, I was quite impressed by this. The rice bowl had a good amount of grilled eel and also came with a scrambled egg, these were pretty tasty too. However, what I was let down by was the rice. It wasn't your typical sushi rice (I think it was just jasmine rice) and was a bit dry. It didn't have the nice bite you get normally from sushi rice. A side dish of zucchini came too, this wasn't bad either.

 The udon that comes with the set is the same as the one above. For this sashimi rice bowl, again, the sashimi quality was pretty good but was also let down by the texture of the rice.

 To finish off the meal, orange slices like this were served too. I really appreciate how nicely it was prepared 😊
