I love cats and I love to go to cat cafes to unwind. There are several in the city but this one, called Meowtini, is a cat bar. As it was listed as new, I decided to check it out.At the front entrance is a device to help you put on a plastic wrap around your shoe. Just place your foot inside. Inside is spacious and not like your usual cat cafe. It did seem more like a restaurant/bar.

There was even some "wine barrels" as decor but if you look closely, a few cats are there sleeping.

And they were everywhere! Some were sleeping, some hidden under the table and one little kitten was more daring!

A list of rules are presented for you to follow. There is a time limit but they won't enforce unless a table is needed. Otherwise, you can be as long as you want.

As there is food and drinks involved, the menu is in English and Chinese. They have sets along with a la carte.

It was a bar so boyfriend had the Orange Pill Cocktail ($92, on the left) and I had the Purple Angel Mocktail ($68, on the right). My drink definitely looked pretty and coloful. It had a lychee taste that wasn't too sweet. Boyfriend's cocktail had a sweet citrus elements that balanced the strong alcohol taste.

We ordered a couple of starters and a main because I wanted to spend more time playing with cats. The first appetier was Beef Spanish Epanadas ($68). There were three and smaller than traditional epanadas. The meat filling was jjuicy and a touch spicy but not so strong I couldn't handle. All was held together by a flakey crust.

The Yuzu Honey Chicken Wings ($58) was fantastic. There were four of them. The meat was juicy. It was coated with a sticky sweet glaze.

Fresh Crab Meat Crab Paste Spaghetti ($118) was the main was shared. A decent portion that was enough to share. Topped with plenty of flying fish roe for that bit of crunch, there was plenty of crab meat throughout. The pasta was al dente  and clung to the creamy savory sauce well.

The cats were adorable and clearly the star of this place. The food was good and the staff loved the cats as well. An interesting concept to have a bar filled with cats.
