Not going to lie, when I first saw the name of this restaurant, I thought the food was going to be dull and boring (because I am a huge meat lover and love heavy seasoning and flavour) - but I was wrong. There was actually a variety of Korean cuisines to choose from; plenty of options for everyone. Before I talk about the food, I would just like to mention how pretty and cozy I thought the place was - perfect for gossip or just a fun little gathering with friends and family! The staff were su
If you are coming with kids (or even just adults), I highly recommend ordering the seaweed bibimbap because it is self-served and perfect for "boomerang"! For the ingredients, you can choose one main and two sides, which I chose Sakura Shrimp with soy-glazed mushroom and spinach. Not trying to blow my own trumpet but I was damn proud of my combination - everything went so well together and it was just a match made in food heaven. So if you are in the restaurant now not knowing what to order, you might want to try my combination (you're welcome).
It would be inappropriate not ordering fried chicken when dining in a Korean restaurant, and I was glad I did. IT WAS BOMB!!! I highly recommend the lime and avocado fried chicken with cheese powder. The chicken was so tasty and trust me, you won't be able to stop yourself after eating one.
Another dish I highly recommend is the DIY tteokbokki - especially in corn soymilk sauce if you can't eat spicy. There is a little electric stove on the table which you use to cook the tteokbokki, and similar to the bibimbap, you can choose 1 sauce, 1 main and 2 sides. A little tip though, remember to keep stirring and not to leave it cooking for the whole meal because I did exactly that and a lot of the rice cake got stuck to the bottom!
For drinks, we ordered wolfberry strawberry smoothie (pink one) and kale pear smoothie. I tried both and personally preferred wolfberry one much better because the green one was a bit too 'icy' and dull tasting.
Seafood leek jeon - not bad but a bit too leek-overload in my opinion.
For dessert, you have to try vegan peach soft serve - perfect ending to such delicious meal. Very fresh and not too sweet because of that tad of sourness.
