I saw this listed on Openrice and was curious if it was the same one in Kyoto. So, I went looking for this place.京都製パン処 松栄庵 (or English name: Shoeian) originates from Kyoto that uses Halal standards in their baked goods. Their shop is small with a few baked goods. Everything is neatly labelled in Chinese and English. Matcha Filled Bread ($16). The bread was soft, but a bit dry. It was slightly sweet. There was a nice bit of matcha paste filling that wasn't sweet but had a rich matcha taste. The bread was ok. Not great. The one in Japan was way better and had a lot more matcha filling. Here it was just the top and not packed with filling. Not as good as Japan. Probably wouldn't purposely come here unless I happened to be in the area. Service not as good as the one in Japan as the staff spent more time chatting with each other to care that customers were around.
