Mom and I wanted to spend some quality mother-daughter bonding time so we decided to have a special date night. I wanted to bring mom to somewhere more exotic so I was searching for some fine dining restaurants in the Central area. We needed to walk pass a long long corridor before we reached the restaurant, the corridor was spectacular. It was not only a corridor but also an area for people to sit down for their happy hour.
Mom and I ordered 2 set dinners. The entree was a seafood platter and then followed by the lobster bisque. We both like seafood so we ordered the dory fish for our mains. We then finished the dinner off with the chocolate fondant and a cheese and fruit platter.
The seafood platter was quite good, they were all fresh and the oysters were succulent. We were a bit disappointed with the lobster bisque though probably because we had the most palatable lobster bisque at the Amigo Restaurant in Happy Valley. The dory fish was a little too dry and we wished they had given us more sauce for the fish. I must say the plating for every dish was lovely however the taste was not as good as I expected.
Lastly, mom enjoyed the chocolate fondant a lot as she finished the whole thing off. The cheese platter was ok for me but I wish they provided more fruits instead of 3 small pieces.
I think I will come again to try their set lunch or may be happy hour because the environment is quite elegant and quiet. It is a great venue for small gatherings or private date.
