Shanghai Lao Lao is quite a famou chain restaurant for Shanghai food in Hong Kong, so as a Shanghai Food lover, it’s a must try for me. The branch at the Western district is at a very convenient location, just right opposite the MTR station and it didn’t seem very crowded at lunch hour. We order the basic Xiaolongbao, Kung Pao Chicken and Crystal Trotter and a few other dishes. The branch at the Western district is at a very convenient location, just right opposite the MTR station and it didn’t seem very crowded at lunch hour. We order the basic Xiaolongbao, Kung Pao Chicken and Crystal Trotter and a few other dishes. The xiaolongbao has thin skins and is fill with soup inside, Kung Pao Chicken is bit too salty unless you have it with rice. Other the that the crystal trotter is just normal, it’s not bad but nothing impressive either. All in all, it’s okay.
