I suddenly got a day off today, so I deicded to head to Stanley where I have not been to for a very long time.After getting off the bus, my friend and I walked around for just about 30 mins. We then decided to go somewhere indoor as the heat outside was unbearable. After getting off the bus, my friend and I walked around for just about 30 mins. We then decided to go somewhere indoor as the heat outside was unbearable. I happened to see Gino's in front of me, so I suggested to my friend to go inside for something cold.
"Let's go to Hxxxxx Dxx instead," said my friend.
"Why?" I asked.
"I hate this place."
"Why?" I asked again.
"The people there are rude."
"Give them a second chance!" I persuded my friend to go inside.
The lady at the counter was expressionless. From the time we walked into the shop until I told her I wanted hazelnut, she scooped the ice cream, she brought the ice cream over to the cashier, I paid and finally she gave me back the change, she did not speak one single word.
Even it was a weekday afternoon, this place was quite busy. Customers kept coming in while we were eating our ice cream in the shop. Based on observation, I would say that the lady has an attitude and she is particularly sweet to westerners.
Back to the ice cream... the ice cream was average yummy... But since the shop does not seem to welcome local people, I would probably not come back. Besides, the table and the chairs are sticky which is quite gross.
