Went to this restaurant for lunch with my work colleagues with high hopes but left totally unimpressed. The ambience of this restaurant is good and it is a popular place for the hungry office workers in the area. Went to this restaurant for lunch with my work colleagues with high hopes but left totally unimpressed. The ambience of this restaurant is good and it is a popular place for the hungry office workers in the area. I ordered a brown rice risotto with braised oxtail and it didn’t disappoint except the chef was a little bit too generous with the salt. As part of a set lunch, the main came with a salad and bread. The salad arrived already drenched in oily dressing so one has no control over the amount of fat in it. The bread was good but it was served with a tasteless spread. Simple butter would have complemented the delicious bread roll very well and probably healthier than the tasteless spread provided which could be full of unhealthy trans-fat. The service was mediocre bordering on bad. They really have difficulties understanding what it meant by being courteous which is an essential attribute of a good server especially in a restaurant of this class. I sincerely hope that the proprietors could give their servers some proper training in the future.
