To start with, when I open the package, a pungent truffle aroma oozes out and makes my mouth water! My memory flashes back to when I tried the truffle ravioli in Tuscany last Christmas. It says dried truffle and carob powder were added but I guess some truffle oil was also used to enhance or augment the fragrance.
Then I grabbed some chips and started munching on them. Oh my god, it’s so nice! Certainly, just like the real truffle, it smells stronger than it tastes, but the nuttiness, the subtle earthy flavour is a true gem! I really appreciate that it’s not salty, but instead it’s mildly sweet so the chips won’t be too heavy or overwhelming. There’s also a delicate truffle aftertaste which allures you to eat one chip after another until the last crumbs are out of the bag!
