I want to make a comment on what scout said too. It cant be true that you were at oedo without tea and food for 30 minutes! When you go for the dinner, the first thing they do is serve you several free appetizers and green tea - always. You went on New Year's Day this year, that wouldve been a real busy day. I went on Christmas day (another very busy day) and I was still served with food and drinks promptly. I think you're probably exaggerating, you shouldn't mislead people!!! I've included a pi

I've included a picture of some sashimi from oedo, on the left side of the photo you can see 4 little dishes - those are the free appetizers I'm talking about.

Maybe you don't eat much japanese food in america so you don't know really how to appreciate it. Oedo is respected by many other top japanese restaurants in HK for their food, especially sushi and sashimi so there is no way that the sashimi would be warm haha. My Japanese business partners that I take there also love Oedo, they say it's just as good as the great restaurants in Japan.
