I wasn’t in the mood for burgers at 4pm, which they had 10+ choices with descriptions that meet all kinds of wonderful guilty pleasures. My conscience settled for the equally guilty option - Grilled Cheese with cheddar, monterey jack and bourbon bacon jam. The filings were cheesy and stringy. The toasted sourdough could be the only healthy part, but there were 3 layers. The apple slaw was cleansing to the palate, a much better alternative to the usual coleslaw. The side order of thin fries with rosemary salt was a must have (there weren’t many guests on such a rainy day so no one was looking when I happily licked those rosemary-salt-coated fingertips of mine~).

What I missed the most about the States are the diners. The sunny side up eggs… crispy hash browns… stacks of pancakes, the height of your iphone6. I’ll try to wake up earlier and make it for breakfast next time (The Diner opens at 8:30am).
