When Antique was first opened, my girlfriends and I "ooohed" and "ahhhed" at the daintily decorated tea shop and the equally daintily decorated cakes. Out of pure curiosity, I bought home the most attractive Napoleon (the pastry with sectioned strawberries on the side), and a more conservative cheesecake. Out of pure curiosity, I bought home the most attractive Napoleon (the pastry with sectioned strawberries on the side), and a more conservative cheesecake. The only good comment I can make for both is that it wasn't too sweet. The strawberries, pastry, cheese were all quite tasteless and odourless, and the textures were both could have been described as pretty solid.
Especially at that price...
I could keep looking at the cakeshop and the cakes forever and ever, but would rather leave the taste to my imaginations.
