Ordered a Dreamy Caramel cupcake here. The cupcake came with some salty-sweet cream on top and caramel sauce inside, which added moist to the cupcake. The crumbs stuck together v well, unlike most of the GF cakes that you’ll have crumbs falling all over the place after eating. The texture of the cupcake was AMAZING. This moist GF cupcake gives me reason to keep coming back for more cakes and cupcakes.
However, I hope the shop can provide better utensils for eating at the tables outside the store. The staff handed me my order with a napkin and a fork on the side.
I tried asking for a plate as it seemed that I was expected to eat the cupcake with a fork. (It comes with the cake) Yet, I was turned down by the staff by their no-table-service policy of this store.
I get that you don’t do table service, but counter service doesn’t mean no-plate-at-all, just take-the-cupcake-with your-hand service. The store serves hot coffee and drinks. There are ceramic plates sitting on top of the machine. And asking for a plate was only because I didn’t want the crumbs falling all over the floor/ table. It would be much appreciated if a paper bag can at least be provided to hold the cake. So customers can decide whether stay here/ take away.
After finishing with the cake, I kindly asked if the staff could help me throw away the napkin and fork as there weren’t any bins nearby. The staff agreed but didn’t even bother to have eye contact with customer.
Overall, the food is good, but the staff isn’t really friendly and it totally ruined the experience. If it’s not for my GF diet, I probably won’t visit again.
