Late August (fine)Like SE Asian food, especially Laksa and satays. So was really delighted at the opening of Asian Twist in IFC. The setting of the place was clean and tidy. The laksa was ok --- taste was comparable to Malamama and Katong at Mercer St but the seating here at AT was much better. However the Batung beef was really poor. The beef was tough and dry and I also didn't like the yellow ginger rice. The traditional Malaysian tea was however very good, smooth and rich.
Would I come again? Yes, for the price and the setting; for the laksa and the tea but not for the Batung beef.
Obama's Operation Twist was a disappointment. My gourmet Operation Twist has also not been rewarding but I will keep the option open and hope that things will turn around, one day, hopefully very soon. Fingers crossed like Obama.
