Overpriced, meagre burgers

We went here for lunch today after seeing the posters. It took ages to get served, the place was cramped and uncomfortable, and the prices seemed unreasonable considering the burgers looked more fast-food than gourmet - so our hopes weren't high. We went here for lunch today after seeing the posters. It took ages to get served, the place was cramped and uncomfortable, and the prices seemed unreasonable considering the burgers looked more fast-food than gourmet - so our hopes weren't high. The veal burger was absolutely terrible - tiny, pathetic patty that tasted dried out even though we ordered it medium-rare. Absolutely smothered in a sweet kind of sauce which somehow didn't manage to sort out the dry texture. The bun was way too big and chewy, worse than a McDonald's bun really. The mushroom burger I enjoyed - very juicy and flavoursome. But absolutely extortionate price for a mushroom in a bun! The fries were strangely shrivelled and droopy - they looked like they'd spent hours simmering in the deep fat frier. I quite liked them but my partner didn't. All round we thought this place was a total rip-off: definitely won't be going here again.
