My mom craves "Buddhist food" though she's a Christian. To be honest, I already didn't hold high expectations of the food quality, since I knew the chefs are confined to a limited range of choices for food ingredients. But I don't expect all the food served actually tasted highly similar.

eg. This photogenic set of sushi seems nice with this array of vibrant colours, right? In reality, they are mostly just soybean products which taste exactly like tofu skin / bean curd skin, except that they're painted with these fancy artificial colorants.

Worse still, they're so overpriced! We paid more than $150 per head but still I wasn't even full after the whole meal!

I would rather go to the market and buy some fruits and vegetables to stay vegan and healthy!
