Indeed, wine list was impressive. Everybody else was detoxing, so ended up with a glass of Brunello and a glass of Nero d'Avola.
Food menu similar to Venedia. Ordered a selection of dishes to share.
Here’s what we had.
Sour dough bread. Loved the Sicilian vinegar aged 15 years.
—APPETISERS—
VEGETABLE SOUP- so good I refused to share.
TOMATO from Fukuoka with Creamy burrata
OCTOPUS CARPACCIO with Olives, basil, tomato and mustard vinaigrette
WHITE ASPARAGUS with Culatello ham and egg emulsion. Loved the ham: lean, tender and rich in flavor.
—PASTA—
SPAGHETTI with cheese, pepper and mushrooms
VEAL AGNOLOTTI (ie small parcels of pasta dough filled with veal) with Roasted mushrooms. Very fragrant and buttery.
LINGUINE with Carabinero red prawns and tomato confit- highly recommended by server. Perfectly al dente. Unfortunately aircon perhaps was too strong, had turned cold by the time I got to it.
—Main—
Roasted baby half chicken, fragrantly coated in chopped herbs; crispy skin, tender meat. Recall having the same at Venedia.
—Selection of Sides—
-GREEN BEANS with Anchovy dressing
-SICILIAN TOMATOES
-BROCCOLINI
—Desert—
-TIRAMISÙ
-VANILLA PANNACOTTA with berries
In summary: excellent pastas (one would not expect less from any Bombana outlet). Nice enjoyable evening. Recommended.
