3 of us for dinner. D2 place was always a good choice. This time Grumpy even found parking right outside the restaurant. Grumpy asked to be seated in direct view of the car.Roughly the same pastas on the menu since I was here last year. Server introduced us to many different sets on offer (too confusing for me). Ended up getting a 4 person set with 3 appetizers and 3 pastas (which the 3 of us finished all). I asked for a glass of Aramone (sold out) n settled for a glass of Primitivo. No good. Mi

I asked for a glass of Aramone (sold out) n settled for a glass of Primitivo. No good. Might as well have gone for the table red which was part of the set.
Bread came inside a paper bag, inviting to be taken away. Quite good actually, crispy crust.
Meatballs- lukewarm.
Cauliflower soup. Toooooooooo creamy.
Burrata cheese. Best dish of the lot.
Oriechetti - (literally translating to "little ears" in Italian - cos of their shape) originating from Southern Italy with spicy sausage. Too spicy for me tho.
Strozzapretti with truffle and Parma ham- texture was good, generously covered with truffle. This twisted handmade pasta was shaped like a hangman's knot (originally created to suffocate a priest). Couldn’t really taste the Parma ham.
Chitarra with king prawns- best of the lot. Chitarra was similar to spaghetti; made with squid ink here. Came with 2 grilled prawns (none for Grumpy). Sauce I liked, right balance of tangy tomato, no fishy taste.
Since our set didn’t come with dessert, didn’t order any. Waitress gave us 3 cans of soft drinks to go (included in the set).
Service was very good, considering no service fee was charged.
In summary: nice casual pasta.
