Got the mini moon cakes from Peninsula boutique.The pastry was very buttery, and when the packet was opened, you could smell the butter from the pastry.The pastry was about 4mm thick and tasted like the Taiwanese pineapple roll pastry, but softer.The egg custard in the middle was warm orange in colour, and the texture was dense like cheesecake.In terms of taste, I found it too sweet and sugary.It did not taste as good as the first time I tried it in 2012 because it was just sugary and chalky.
