I went Xiao Wang with a couple of friend for brunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant was cosy and service were good. We ordered a couple of dishes and drinks just for a catch up.

On the food, we had....
Beef noodle soup- the soup was alittle light to my preference but in Taiwan generally the food are very light and bland. The noodle was was good, smooth and springy. The beef brisket was soft and light.

Fried bee hoon- I like this dish very much, it's reminds me of my mother cooking. It's so homely and comfort.

Smelly beancurd- I cannot comment much as I am not a fan of smelly beancurd, but my friends said it was good.

Braised meat with bamboo shoot- it was slightly sweet, soft and juicy inside. It compliments the bamboo shoot really well.

Dessert shave ice- was good and the mangoes were sweet.

Overall, the food and service is very consistence and good though I must say the food is very "homely". U will not get surprises nor a wow factor.  I can come many times as the food it's not oily and the environment is very cohesive. Pricing reasonable too.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
