The poor service at Gaia has been notorious among all my vegetarian friends. I usually put up a smile when they complained how they were maltreated there. The poor service at Gaia has been notorious among all my vegetarian friends. I usually put up a smile when they complained how they were maltreated there. Last Saturaday, I had the luck to come across the "service" first hand. Strictly speaking, we haven't had the chance to even look at the menu, before we were called upon to sit at the table near the door, although the restaurant was 80% EMPTY, with only 3-4 tables occupied. We asked the waitress why we must sit there, she said all other tables were booked. Then, I replied, "But, it is hardly 12 noon, nobody has come!" She rebuked at a rather loud voice, "yet, I can't give you the table inside! They are not EMPTY!"

Honestly, we were there to enjoy lunch, not to take in the waitress' bad temper. So, we decided to go to other restaurant to get real "service".
