We came here on a Saturday afternoon during CNY.  We were surprised and excited that this place was open and there was no one waiting.When we went in, no one came out to help us or greet us. We came here on a Saturday afternoon during CNY.  We were surprised and excited that this place was open and there was no one waiting.

When we went in, no one came out to help us or greet us. So we just went to sit down at one of the two people tables. The only waitress there then noticed us and seemed unhappy that we got our own seats. She talked to a lady at the coffee bar, presumably the owner, and motioned in a way which showed that she probably preferred to seat us outside. 

We ordered a matcha molten cake, a matcha cheesecake and two drinks.  The food and drinks were nice. 

When we ordered the matcha molten cake, it was priced $50 on the menu (a little blackboard) placed just next to the door.  However, when we got our bill, we were charged $100 for it. We then looked at the blackboard and saw that someone had changed the price of the molten cake to $100 after we placed our order. That was when I remembered that the lady originally at the coffee bar had come out to the seating area while we were eating and rubbed the board and wrote something on it. 

Fortunately, we talked to the waitress and she promptly changed the bill back to what we thought we should pay.  

Clearly when they changed the price on the menu, they must have known that some customers already ordered the molten cake thinking it was $50.  To issue bills at the new price without informing any customers shows poor management at best and dishonesty at worst.  If we didn't check our bill, we would have been overcharged by $50, ie 25% of our entire bill. 

Overall we were rather disappointed at the quality of the service, esp because it was our first time there.  I know this place is so popular that the owner probably couldn't care less about what I think, but I'm definitely not going back.
