Normally i will dine out with my family once before Chinese New Year, so this time round I suggested to have buffet. Star of Canton Restaurant was located at The One, Tsim Sha Tsui. Their price was reasonably priced at $238 per person, limit to 2 hour dining. They have more than 50 dishes for us to choose from. Beijing duck skin - This was one of their signature dishes, thus a long queue was formed very soon. Skin was roasted till soft and crispy, and was of thin texture. It goes well with the paper skin and sliced cucumbers provided. Sauce helped to bring out the flavour.
Buddha Jumps Over the Wall - The chef was generous with the portion of the ingredients. The soup was sweet and clear, absorbing the essence of the ingredients. They were chewy and soft.
Big prawn with pasta - Prawn was huge in size, and was juicy and chewy. Noodles was soft and smooth.
Roasted meat and BBQ meat was chewy and juicy, and BBQ meat was sweet as well.
Prawn dipped in sake - Prawn was fresh and sweet, with slight sake taste.
Prawn wanton soup - The skin was soft and prawn fillings was chewy and juicy.
BBQ meat and egg with rice - When egg was mixed with the rice, it was flavourful and chewy. BBQ meat was juicy and chewy.
Sweet and sour pork was chewy, with slight sour taste.
Mango pomelo was sweet and smooth, with pomelo bits and mango cubes in it.
Vanilla ice cream with red bean - Red bean was chewy and sweet, going well with the vanilla ice cream.
