Used to be a regular at Su Casa, another restaurant owned by the restaurant operator. I always thought this restaurant cooks pretty good food with generous portions, but they will never be able to increase their price points because they're not able to deliver a classy environment plus an attentive service. Nevertheless, commercially that is not necessarily a bad thing as long as its profitable. Casa Fina I thought was similar to my memories of Su Casa. Was doing some errands in Causewaybay so t
Was doing some errands in Causewaybay so thought it would be nice to have some simple western food in the area. They do have a pretty good lunch menu, but the presentation is... not too fancy. I'm sure it's very easy to make it look a little more appetizing!
So my order was a clam chowder (soup of the day) and the tiger prawn risotto for main course. The soup arrived with garlic bread which indeed was very pizza hut like.
Soup was pretty standard, no surprises at all and the portions were quite decent. Then came the main course.
The risotto wasn't bad. A good mixture of vegetal and fruits flavor. This I guess was the only dish that was properly presented and looked great. I enjoyed the risotto. Then finally the dessert that was a cheesecake, was good but a little sweet.
As much as I thought this was pretty standard food that delivers no surprises, I do think that the price they charge were very fair given the amount of food and portions they provided. $118 for that amount of food I can't really complain! I think I'll come again if I want something quick and simple (and not pricey).
