An ex told me about this place so I thought I'd give it a try as I am not ashamed to admit that I'm a male-chocoholic. I was greeted by the REALLY CUTE manager, who introduced herself as Flora. She told me that there's been a recent launch of new products and went through them in detail:The 5 Elements Bar (excuse the incomplete ingredient list):Gold--orange and gold leaves+dark choc. I was greeted by the REALLY CUTE manager, who introduced herself as Flora. She told me that there's been a recent launch of new products and went through them in detail:
The 5 Elements Bar (excuse the incomplete ingredient list):
Gold--orange and gold leaves+dark choc. Traditional, delicious
Wood--Cinnamon+dark choc. Rather Chrismassy--the two go extremely well
Water--Seasalt+seaweed+dark choc. Strangely pleasant combo
Fire--Chilli+white choc. My Favourite! The white chocolate and chilli work SO well together. There's something fruity too, but can't remember what it is.
Earth--oatmeal+dried fruit+dark choc. Although not my personal favourite, the high quality just makes it delicious all the same
Then there's the infamous VERO Signature Hot Chocolate. WOW--it's like nothing I've tasted before. With lovely Flora's pleasant company, it just makes the drink even tastier. They serve the chocolate topping separately--so you can see it melt in your own time!! How thoughtful is that?!!! This is one of the best customer market survey action I've ever experienced!
Then there are all these beautiful cakes in the cake display cabinet--Flora said they'll be offering birthday cakes, wedding cakes, tea cake sets...etc. I can't wait to taste them! On the other hand, these cakes are too pretty to eat--ahhhh, tough life...beautiful cakes that TASTE fantastic--what to do with them?!
I have to say my addiction isn't nearly satisfied after the small taster and the hot chocolate, so I ordered the new Spring Summer chocolate Collection and some muffins.
Spring Summer bite-size chocolates:
Honey Mustard
Mango Kaffi Lime
Apple and Thyme
Banana & Mint
White Forest
All 5 are OUTSTANDING, the "white forest" being the favourite. Three layers of ingredients carefully handmade then coated by white chocolate--the best thing is, it's not even that sweet! The Lime one is super refreshing and the mustard one is really quite tasty.
I only managed to have 1 muffin and it was the Caramel one--hot, gooey, and fluffy. What more do you want in a muffin? The sticky caramel center makes you want more!
I definitely recommend this place for all you chocoholics--it's a fix you won't find anywhere else.
