I started taking a Cantonese class in Wan Chai on Saturdays, and I'm going to be eating there once a week. Last week I tried Wing Wah, and this week it was sandwich time. There's desserts and bread and coffee at Passion, but none of that's really my thing. Sanwiches, however, are indeed my thing. The sandwiches are pre-made, which is definitely a negative-- you can't customize, ask for a specific bread type, get more or less of some condiment, etc.I played it safe with the daily special: salami

I played it safe with the daily special: salami and cheese baguette ($58). The bread was fresh baked and crusty. I'm pretty sure the cheese was mozzerella, which is my second choice after provalone for a salami sandwich. There wasn't anything else, and the whole was a bit salty and otherwise somewhat bland. I liked the salami, but there wasn't very much of it. B-
Cuban Sandwich

My wife got the cuban sandwich ($47). I had a few bites and I liked it much better: ham, roasted pork, cheese, mustard, pickles. It didn't hold a candle to a real Cuban sandwich, but it was really good. My wife gives it a B+ ("pretty good"), and I concur.

Would I go back? Yes. The sandwiches aren't particularly substantial, and there's not a huge range of ones that I'd actually choose to eat. However, these were good, and reasonably priced, and quick, and available for takeaway. Good, B.
