The recent relocation and upgrade has led to a better choice of salad and overall improvements in menu choice and restaurant environment. They have taken some of their classic dishes from their many branches and their brunch, lunch and dinner menus and have come up with a menu that caters for meat lovers and vegetarians. The price however, is greater than what it was charging before. Now one must add an additional $30 for the starter soup or salad and ice tea or soft drink. It used to be included in the meal price. The dishes on the menu are all higher in price now too. This matches what other branches are doing. With that said, the quality of the food is good as before and the portions for some dishes are sometimes larger.

I, however, dislike the table setup. The marble table tops are beautiful but not functional. The surface area is small and it is difficult to fit all dishes, drinks, salt and pepper, candle and cutlery! Yes, as before, they bring out all courses before you have finished the first... The tables are also cramped next to each other (as before) so you can literally hear what the table next to you is talking about, and you can even grab the food from them too!

Overall, I like what Maxims is doing with it's Simply brand. The food is mostly great but it is becoming increasingly more expensive eating here regularly and the waiting service and table location can be hit or miss. The hygiene is the same as before, crumbs galore on the seats and floor... But on a positive note, I'm thankful for the additional salad dish because the caesar salad and crabmeat salad isn't my favourite at all... Anyway, bon appetite to you all!
