Having been to its sister restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui with a favorable experience, I was looking forward to trying this branch in Causeway Bay. As I walked in, I passed by their oyster bar and saw 4 different selections of oysters with a buy 1 get 1 free deal which was a pretty good deal with the prices ranging from $58 to $78. Choices vary daily apparently but the day I was there, they had oysters from the US, Australia and France.

I ended up trying 2 of their oysters - the American Pearl and Angel from Australia. Both were fresh but I liked the Angel more with its slightly briny taste.

The bread here was served with the same homemade eggplant sauce at the restaurant in TST which reminds me of baba ghanoush. The texture was soft and smooth while the flavors were light and flavorful.

Marinated Tuna Fish and Avocado Tartar with Balsamic Reduction (3/5) - served with a wasabi foam, the tuna tartar was fresh enough but the avocado was a bit too hard and raw while the wasabi foam was too light in flavor. I loved the balsamic reduction on the plate though which was of pretty high quality.

Avocado, Melon Salmorejo with Crispy Iberico Ham (4.2/5) - this cold soup took me by surprise with its refreshing and fruity flavors while not too sweet. The crispy Iberico ham was my favorite as it was almost jerky like and fun to eat with the salmorejo.

Pan Fried Foie Gras with Port Wine Grape Marinade (3.8/5) - the foie gras was cooked perfectly with crispy layer on the outside but the baguette it was placed on was too crunchy which distracted from the delicate textures of the foie gras. The grape marinade was very tangy and delicious and I just wished more of it was spread between the foie gras and baguette instead of being on the side.

Guava Sorbet (4/5) - the guava sorbet was perfect as a palate cleanser with its slightly tart and sweet flavors.

Pan Fried Live Boston Lobster with Lobster Bisque Homemade Pappardelle (4.2/5) - the lobster was huge but slightly overcooked so the texture wasn't as tender. I loved the lobster bisque sauce though as it was very rich and flavorful with strong lobster flavors. The pasta was also cooked perfectly as well.

Lastly, the daily dessert for the day turned out to be a pear crumble with whisky jelly. I couldn't put my finger on the whisky at first when I didn't realize it was whisky but felt that there was a bitter aftertaste which didn't go with the sweet dessert in my opinion. Then again, I've never been a big fan of whisky either.

Overall, for the price of $698 which wasn't cheap but a fair value for the quality of food you get while dining in a private and pleasant environment.
