I don’t usually walk up Hill Road but as my friend and I were looking for a nearby place for dinner, we saw this restaurant beaming with music. We went in, sat down and quickly skimmed through the menu. We noticed the lovely milkshakes on someone else’s table so we agreed to try it out, we got the Bananarama ($68) made with Movenpick ice cream and indeed it was rich of banana and super milky, totally a banger. We also got the BBC - Back bacon cheeseburger ($88) for share and we initially expected slices of ordinary bacon but to our surprise, it was a steak like bacon that tasted amazing. The staff although didn’t ask for our preferred doneness, it was just right on point for us. The fries were well fried and their special sauce tasted fatalistic too. Never tried bacon from Canada so this was a pleasant surprise. We topped this off with the Mushroom poutine ($58) and it was a bit of a disappointment because the gravy sauce was too dense and it masked any flavour of the cheese and the fries. Though, we will be willing to try their other poutines next time. A piece of good news to share is that it is happy hour before 8pm where they offer 20% off any alcoholic drinks, so don’t miss out!
