Take a break café is a small and dark café at the corner of MK, with less than 5 tables. It was a night for a casual catch up. Two of us girls shared two spaghetti dishes and a dessert. Quality-wise, mains were standard and waffle was amazing. Portion-wise, mains were relatively small while waffle was the opposite. A21 Cream sauce linguine with mushroom, salmon roe and sea urchin $180
Higher quality was expected at this price.
A09 Ink spaghetti with tomato and seafood $88
As a picky eater, the ink spaghetti could be more flavourful. Scallop could be fresher too.
F05 Purple potato banana waffle $88
The smiley rating is to a large extent contributed by the waffle. Purple potato paste is neatly embedded in the middle of waffle, topped with cream, banana, and chocolate sauce. What a satisfying bite.
