Walking around Ma Wan Island, boyfriend and I came upon this sweet little coffee shop. Boyfriend said he had planned for us to eat here. Cozy and small, we entered. The menu completely in English showed they served crepes along with pasta. The person next to us had pasta and it smelled wonderful. We decided on two crepes to share. One sweet and one savory. It was also super hot so we had ice lemon tea.

The nutella and banana crepe was lovely. Definitely not the buckwheat crepes that are more popularly found from Brittany, France. But more like the crepes found in a crepe Suzette. The bananas were warm and soft from being sautéed. There was a lot of nutella fillling along with generous swirls of chocolate. The crepe itself was thin and pretty decent. The whipped cream was a bit bland though.

The savory crepe we chose was porcini mushrooms with cheese. Again the same crepe was used instead of the buckwheat style. It was still pretty good. There was a lot of mushrooms used and the cheese just oozed out and it was mozzarella. This was better than the sweet crepe. I wasn't too fond of the sweet onion chutney it came with but I generally don't like eating onions.

The ice lemon tea was alright. But definitely refreshing on this hot 30+C day before we headed back out into the heat.

If I lived on this island, I would defintely make this my usual hang out. It seemed the people in the restaurant were regulars that lived nearby. The owners were also very friendly. But since I don't live on this island, it's a nice quiet place to laze around on a day off.
