How the heck have I missed this Yakitori joint in my day-in day-out of TST, I don't know. Originally planned for ramen at Butao on Minden Avenue but were caught in a long queue, so we decided to stroll a little to see what's on offer lately on this tiny street. Found this Yakitori place just diagonally across from Butao which was almost filled at the time.
The place is incredibly tiny with seating of only around 20, and if fully seated would hardly be able to walk through the aisle between the back to back seats. This on the other hand gave me a really strong déjà vu of a local Yakitori joint in downtown Tokyo. We were lucky to get the last 2 unreserved seats available before the couple behind us.
Food was unexpectedly good.
Service also surprisingly up to standard.
I was curious as I saw some good critiques here yet it's so less known, so I tried googling it and found that DJ aka Japanese-know-it-all Cheng Ka Fai is apparently one of the owners and consultant. No wonder...
