Randomly looking for a queue-less dessert restaurant after our Friday dinner, this popped out by Openrice. Restaurant does have big tables for groups, we were thankful. Menu serves all different kinds of western desserts where famous for the Napoleon pastry. We ordered the chestnut napoleon, apple crumble, crème brûlée and chocolate and banana napoleon. Apple crumble was served with a scoop of ice cream. I placed the vanilla ice cream immediately on top of the ramekin to let the freshly baked crumble melted it. Apple dices were soft and well cooked. A hint of cinnamon came through which felt hearty. Personally doesnt like raisin which was mixed with the apples. Crumble was crisp but wish to have more. Each bite was warming and indulgent.
Napoleon pastry was incredibly crispy. Each layer didnt stick together which might end up soggy. Chenust cream was just right, neither too sweet nor creamy. Love it was served chestnut bites for some crunch. Vanilla ice cream was served on a side but didn't help much with the whole dessert because it was served alone.
Rest of the dessert did look appealing. Overall setting was comfortable but the staff started rushing to ask us pay at the end while there were plenty seats in the restaurant without a queue.
