I was throughly disappointed in the meal i had at Coast, we had actually booked at tabel at Bloom but for some reason the booking was not confirmed and we lost our table, a friend suggested we try coast as they had a lot of seating. Considering it was less than 2 hours before our dinner plans and it was a friday night we were surprised they could fit a table of 10 in such short notice. this might say something about the restaurant considering it was a friday, we had actually called up a couple o
we had pizzas to start with which were alright, i shared the snapper which was the special on the night and was extremely disappointed, considering it is meant to be fresh fish flown in from australia. I have lived in Sydney 13 years so i expected good quality.
it was the worst snapper i have ever had, it was fishy and the texture was horrible, also the colour was rather grey/brown.
we also ordered a cocktail and they brought the wrong drink, then they brought the one i actually ordered and it tasted like candy with not one hint of vodka so that was a waste of $90.
The actual decor and atmosphere is quite nice, but the food just let it down so much.
i would never come here for a meal again.
