This hotpot place has moved from Sai Wan hill street to shau kei wan and now back to Sai Wan, and I have been to all of them multiple times. Their soup base is what brings me back all the time. For spicy mala soup, other than chili and other spices, it has bean sprouts, frozen tofu and pig blood curd. Instead of just being spicy, it has other flavors that make the soup have more depth/be more tasty. The other soup that’s good is scallop and winter melon soup- can be had separately as it’s not full of powder taste like many other soup in hk are. Now for food items, beef is very good for the price- fresh and well marbled, portion isn’t bad either. Deep fried doughnut with shrimp paste is made to order and is good by itself even without putting in to hotpot. Everything here has been of good quality and would recommend to anyone who likes hot pot.
