It was great for a night out with a friend I met over 10 years for a relaxing Nepalese-Indian dinner.

It's name 'Namaste' is a greeting widely used in India and the Nepal Himalaya, meaning 'I bow to the god within you'.

Sheung Wan is somewhere I don't go unless I have to buy dried seafoods or hike up Mid Levels. This time we happened to crash into Namaste ---  neat-and-simple Nepalese interior design of soothing blue. Comfortable seating with enough space for everyone, unlike most of the restaurants in HK always lack of space and hence lack of privacy.

They offer 2-person dinner with 2 starters and 2 maindishes, drinks and naans included for 230HKD, but we chose to try dishes more exotic to us HongKongers instead.

The Nepalese dumplings are juicy, hot and unexpectedly excellent with tomato saucing! Wanted to order one more!

It was surprising they have many more Indian/Nepalese drink options than a typical Indian restaurant. Look, I rarely see banana/stawberry Lassi in HK. I only seen them in Chiang Mai. They also have various Indian style alcohols.

The cheese naan is also a delight. The cheese inside was sticky and yummy!

With this economic pricing, spacious relaxing environment located in the relatively calm neighborhood of Sheung Wan, it's a great option for those living or working nearby.
