Reminiscing Jacket Potatoes

Oh how I longed to eat a good jacket potato! I have been missing this and remember the times I had jacket potatoes back in England. I had an appointment in Central and decided to come out earlier to have lunch at the Oliver’s in Sheung Wan. It is literally located above the MTR station (exit E5). The main entrance to this restaurant is inside Infinitus Plaza.My order of the bacon, jack n cheese jacket potato and hot tea for $62 arrived no more than 5mins after I sat down. Served with a fork

Oh how I longed to eat a good jacket potato! I have been missing this and remember the times I had jacket potatoes back in England. I had an appointment in Central and decided to come out earlier to have lunch at the Oliver’s in Sheung Wan. It is literally located above the MTR station (exit E5). The main entrance to this restaurant is inside Infinitus Plaza.

My order of the bacon, jack n cheese jacket potato and hot tea for $62 arrived no more than 5mins after I sat down. Served with a fork and spoon (although they will provide a knife when asked). The cheddar cheese was melted into the potato. So tasty! The potato was soft and baked to perfection. I managed to finish it all while it was still hot. The tea was your typical breakfast (tea bag) tea with evaporated milk - commonly found in local cafes (as opposed to fresh milk).

The view from inside the restaurant is of Queen’s Rd Central and the overpass pedestrian walkway from Macau Ferry Pier to Central Pier. A nice way to enjoy a simple lunch while watching a bustling city.
