I love Japanese Food. I hate how there's nothing good to eat in Shatin, so I'd try anything new just for a faint glimmer of hope. I have already been to this place 3 times now. Just from the presentation of their food, the restaurant says that "I might be in a lower-mid class area, but I am passionate about my food".
The sashimi combinations is neat enough to match high-mid class japanese cuisine, and the portions are very reasonable. More importantly, everything they serve is of fresh and excellent quality. The 創意軍艦壽司was very attractive, but although innovative, the taste was not that impressive.
The vinegar rice was not overdone.
The grilled goose pate had a strong, fragrant flavour.
We also ordered grilled eggplant and beans, as well as eel rice, all very nicely done.
The menu is extensive and it's more pricey than other restaurants in this area (for good reason). I cannot wait to have a go at their western/japanese fusion cuisine.
Thank you for being here, keep it up!
