Disclaimer - I was pretty tired by the time I got to the restaurant. ENVIRONMENT - Do not go to this place if (1) you are tired (2) on Fri/Sat nights (3) want a conversation. Restaurant (nightclub?) was dark, and very loud (everyone's voice + the music). Way too many tables for restaurant this size, tables too small and too close to each other. FOOD - Veal very good. Grilled chicken was tasteless; we spent 5 mins trying to figure out if it was actually cooked. Steak was good and polenta sticks very good. My friends all liked the rib. Pizza was very nice. But spaghetti tasted like it can-food from Maggie's. Timing was very strange. We got the veal literally 5 mins after ordering and before the starters. Then there was a long wait for the mains.
SERVICE - Was everyone stoned? All the service staff were like the walking-dead.
If you get the chance, try the Mecarto in Shanghai. According to my companion, it's bigger, better environment, even better food and service.
