Walked pass Dalloyau a lot of times on the way to gym, I always think it’s a dessert place due to the cake display I see from the entrance, but there is actually dining area inside.Complimentary house bread set a high standard for the meal.  Definitely choosing Baked Escargots as appetiser for a French dinner. I don’t usually go for escargots, as I am not a seafood or snail person…But the beef tartare and onion soup appeared to be quite ordinary, so I went for the escargots, and it turned out to be a great choice! The escargots were not fishy at all, probably due to all the flavorings. The mash in the bottom was very tasty too! The toasties were a bit burnt and bitter though.

 Main course was this Slow-cooked Beef Bourguignon. The ox cheek was really tender! I like the sauce a lot too! The mash was definitely a highlight of the dish (sorry beef, I like potato so much), which had a really rich flavor probably due to all the cream and milk in it. Yum!

Dessert was this piece of French Pastry with hazelnut and egg white. The dessert was surprisingly filling as it was so dense! Yet, the hazelnut and egg white were so delicious that I couldn’t stop myself from digging in the dessert. By the time I finished it, I had a food baby already.

 The set also came with coffee or tea on the drink menu. I opted for Vienna Coffee with a creamy top. A great drink to balance out the sweetness and fullness from dessert.
